We have been working very hard and the opening of our capital raise is just around the corner! A lot of positive things have happened in OFS; In July, our very first production of fish was sent for slaughter and packaging at Slakteriet AS in Florø when it reached two kilos, exactly as planned. This batch ensured that our concession of 15,000 tonnes per year is made permanent, by fulfilling the Norwegian Food Safety Authority’s requirement for a trial production of fish for consumption. The successful pilot has significantly reduced the risk in the project and marks a new and important milestone for OFS. 

Biological growth has been very strong with a growth factor of 4.32, corresponding to 34% higher growth than in sea cages with the same temperatures. The fish’s average fitness factor of 1.4 reflects a robust, well-trimmed and muscular fish. The batch was sold through Coast Seafood in Måløy, and the market was well satisfied with the salmon they received. We may be a bit biased, but we’re also very excited about the taste of the salmon. At the end of September, we received a new batch of 31,000 smolt of approx. 85 grams from Hjelvik Settefisk. The actual transfer of fish went very well, the fish seem to thrive in the tank and we estimate that it has already grown to about 110 grams on average. 

We are experiencing great interest in our share issue. Both professional operators and ordinary small shareholders believe that fish farming in the future will take place on land with a smaller environmental footprint than at sea. We have now proven that our concept is sustainable and we look forward to developing into a leading player in this market in the years to come. If our expectations are met, the Dealflow issuance will contribute to us getting into positive cash flow mode with significant value addition.
